FLORINA ZAHARIA

FLORINA ZAHARIA has been a member of the Romanian Writers’ Union since 2002. She graduated from the Faculty of Letters with a master’s in The Theory and Practice of Text. Zaharia has coordinated cultural projects such as Dunărea de Jos Journal (2002-2022), ARTESENȚE (2011-2013) – a project to promote poets and fiction writers from Galați, 11 – Poetry, Champion at Galați (2011 and 2012) – a project celebrating World Poetry Day, Endless Book (2012-2022) – for World Book Day, Galați – the city writes, the city reads (2009-2022) – a project for editing postcards, Future Movie Film Festival (2010-2018) and Domnească 61 Poezie (2016-2021) – a project celebrating World Poetry Day. Zaharia was manager of the Dunărea de Jos Cultural Center (CCDJ) from 2016 to 2019. She currently coordinates Marketing, Editing and Audio and Sound Recordings at CCDJ, is president of the Southeast chapter of the Romanian Writers’ Union and an honorary citizen of the City of Galați.
